Charlie Chaplin allowed his brother Sydney to set up the "Chaplin Advertising Service Company" in Chicago in 1916 to combat unofficial Chaplin merchandise. These mugs, cup and saucer have the official stamp of approval.

The Muppet Show mugs have "(c) Henson Assoc.Inc.1978" printed vertically on the reverse transfers. These mugs and the Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles mug have "Made in England" moulded on the base. The Turtle mug reads "(c) 1990 MIRAGE STUDIOS. LICENSED BY COPYWRIGHT PROMOTIONS LTD." and "BY KINNERTON". Called "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" in the USA, the violent connotations of the word "Ninja" were too much for many European countries and resulted in a title change.
The "Dukes of Hazard" mug is plastic and the base reads "deka ELIZABETH NJ 10 269 MADE IN USA". An official product with "TM & (C) WARNER BROS. INC. 1981" written under "HAZZARD".
From a plastic cup to a Royal Grafton China mug for Basil Brush. Basil was created by puppet maker Peter Firmin in 1963. He worked at "Smallfilms" alongside Oliver Postgate producing "Ivor the Engine", "Noggin" etc. This mug has a 1970 copyright for "Ivan Owen", "Peter Firmin" and the "BBC".
